Design your recovery

You are not your addiction. You are a person experiencing addiction. We work with you to discover all of who you are.

Set in a secluded 7-acre property, 15 minutes from historic downtown Savannah, Front Porch is a residential substance use treatment center with lengths of stay spanning 30, 60, and 90 days. We pride ourselves on being a small and gender-specific dual diagnosis program serving adult men (18 and older). Men face their own unique challenges and require treatment designed to address those issues.

At Front Porch, we are an in intensive and immersive relational treatment experience with a trauma informed lens.  What that means is that healing happens in our home setting, with horses and only 6 clients at a time.  We end up being a "family" unlike any family any of us have ever had.  We understand the process of healing from those past wounds; including wounds you’ve experienced in previous  treatment centers where you felt invalidated as a full person and treated as if you are only your "issue" or simply a revenue stream. We see addictive issues as a solution once used to mitigate the pain of our trauma, one that no longer serves to bring us the lives we really want to live. What started off as adaptive strategies for survival in a harsh and painful environment becomes, for some of us, maladaptive and addictive, reducing our ability to connect with others and self meaningfully and live with purpose.

Our goal is to provide a place for you to feel safe, help guide you in setting your own system of values, and help you to develop functional and effective adaptive strategies to build the life you want free from addictive behaviors.

get comfortable,  being uncomfortable

comfort is a nice place to visit, but nothing ever grows there

recovery is like writing a song

telling your own story through lyrics, chords and melody

recovery is a journey, not a destination

we must plan for the future, while staying in the present

heirloom

like an heirloom tomato, recovery, like illness, grows over generations.

we can pass down our illness through generations or we can pass down our healing.
